WHY DO SPIRALS HAVE SUCH A PROVOCATIVE AFFECT?
Spirals compose the most basic geometry of life yet speak to us on a level of our deepest knowing tapping into the resources that lie beyond mind and emotions. They are the simplest and most common geometric shape, both visibly and invisibly. We see spirals in the physical forces which shape the earth, the tides of the ocean, the winds in the atmosphere and within life itself. It is the blueprint of all nature and indeed of our humanity. From the double helix of our DNA to the spiral shapes of galaxies, spirals can be seen in every aspect of nature.

Spirals date back thousands of years and have been used by the ancients for eons. Throughout history people have depicted spiral designs in their Art and Architecture. Some of the oldest examples of human art are depictions of spirals, painted or carved into rock. The ancients were well known for the mysterious and repetitive designs found on their jewellery, clothing, weapons, stone temples, objects of worship, writings and everyday items. They also created forms of animals and plants twisting into impossible spirals, sometimes interlocking with other elements of the picture. It is also an important feature in most Australian Aboriginal works of Art. The spiral has left no human culture untouched.

THE JOINING OF ART AND SACRED GEOMETRY
The joining of "Art and Sacred Geometry" offers a bridge between left and right brain, between intuition and hard science, between the dimensions of time and space, the marriage between the heart and mind which offers a unique way of viewing the universe from within as a multidimensional connected whole which "exists in us all."

The "Spirals” both curve and move in an angular fashion. They are the purest form of moving energy, the cosmic representation of ideal balance, universal harmony and spiritual transformation. The Sacredness of the “Spiral” is a symbol of growth and evolution. It is container and accelerator of consciousness, the link to the “Universal Heart” the golden thread that links all levels of creation, the heart of all nature! The earliest known symbol of spirituality is the Spiral, the key to deeper realms of awareness within. Spirals compose the most basic geometry of life, yet speak to us on a level of our deepest knowing, they are one of the key elements that can help unwrap the holographic fabric of our spirit selves and unlock us from the egocentric 3D perspective of reality! This shows us that the spiralling journey into ourselves is non ending and the journey outside ourselves is non ending.

The "Mirrors" in my work represent us & our soul. We journey inwards attaining spiritual awareness & wholeness through self-reflection connecting us back to our own universal heart. It holds our holographic fabric of our spirit selves. When we move beyond mind and emotions into the stillness of our being this reflects we are not separate from God, we are not alone in the vastness of time and space, we are unity and oneness, we are connected to every particle of energy and light, to every wave in all of creation. Taking this into our everyday life, it becomes clear that there is no us and them, no separation, no belief system outside ourselves, (it is all within ourselves!)
.
The "Circles" represent unity and oneness, the "Circle Holds All."

The spiralling "Heart" shapes represent, when we tap into our own hearts, accessing our deepest self remembering who we are, we begin to unveil our own inner wisdom and knowledge. Seeing things from a different level of consciousness we are able to gain insight into life's challenges and restore their connection to the world, freeing ourselves from the conflicting unreasonable demands of the mind and living fully present in the now.

WHAT IS SACRED GEOMETRY?
Various geometric patterns and shapes hold within them wisdom and insight far beyond the simple construction of line and arc. Ancient and medieval architects were very aware of the use of "Sacred Geometry" to create environments that balance the psyche and soul. Throughout time it has influenced cultures all over the world and its wisdom is being remembered and used in these times to aid our efforts towards Conscious Evolution!

The contemplation of god’s sacred geometry has been internally observed as a legitimate path of enlightenment, both scientifically and spiritually. Sacred Geometry has the ability to provoke responses beyond the logical, conscious, intellectual level, balance human energy fields and environments, and contains a complex informational system that can be used to access healing and growth in many dimensions, allowing us to access deeper levels of consciousness. Practitioners and Scientists in various fields of healing and communication are using this matrix of information to explore and better understand our place in the cosmos.

WHAT’S SO SACRED ABOUT GEOMETRY?
For thousands of years Sacred Geometry has been carefully preserved. It is more or less an Art form. The ancient science of sacred geometry can be traced back thousands of years to the Mayan Indians, Egyptians and Atlantis. Sacred geometry has also left its traces in other cultures such as in the gothic architecture of European churches and cathedrals (Chartres), the Parthenon in Athens and paintings by Leonardo Da Vinci. Its forms are evident throughout the mantras and Mandela's of Hindu, Tibetan and Buddhist art, Celtic carvings and even in Native North American sand paintings. The Egyptians applied geometry in the construction of the Great Pyramids and many other monuments. As a mirror of the heavens sacred geometry was liberally applied across the Egyptian landscape for millennia as a way to bestow universal order on Earth, as reflected in their Hermetic maxim 'As Above, So Below'. In the ancient teachings of sacred geometry it is believed that the sacredness of everything in the universe can be described in terms of geometrical patterns coming from the hand of God. As unbelievable as that may seem, it can be illustrated with ample research that indeed many unexpected things have a hidden geometry that is not obvious at first sight.

Because sacred geometry reflects the universe, it’s pure and dynamic forms share a higher purpose... the attainment of spiritual wholeness through self-reflection, thereby giving structural insight into the workings of our inner self. In other words, a way for the logical mind to find a reason for its existence by journeying inwards, away from the three-dimensional world and towards fewer and more comprehensive ideas and principles. The goal of this education was to enable the mind to become a channel through which the 'earth' (the level of manifested form) could receive the abstract, cosmic life of the heavens.

When the teachings of geometry are used to show the ancient truth that all life emerges from the same blueprint, we can clearly see that life springs from the same source... the intelligent, unconditionally loving creative force some call "God." When geometry is used to express and explore this great truth, a broader understanding of the universe unfolds until we can see that all aspects of reality become sacred. The ancients all knew this truth and incorporated sacred geometry teachings into their mystery schools as a way for anyone to begin to practically understand his or her personal relationship to "God" and the "Universe!"
